 Julianne Moore, an American-British actor who has a net worth of $55 million. Her portrayal of women who are emotionally disturbed was the reason she became famous in the 1990s. In 2020, The New York Times listed her at number 11 on its list of the 25 Greatest actors of the 21st Century.Julianne Moore was born December 3, 1960 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. As one of the three children she was raised in the military home of her family. She is the daughter of Peter Moore Smith (a paratrooper in the U.S. Army) and Anne (a Scottish psychologist and social worker who immigrated to the U.S.A in 1951). Moore was often relocated by her father because of his occupation. She lived in Alabama, Texas Texas, Georgia and Nebraska. Moore went to nine schools and she says that the constant moving led to her feeling unsecure, which caused her to struggle to make friends. Moore moved with her family from Virginia to Frankfurt West Germany when she was just 16 years old. She had planned to become a doctor and was never interested in acting or being in a theater. She was introduced to the theater through her love of reading and was involved in many plays in her high school which included "Tartuffe and Medea." With that performance Moore was encouraged by her English teacher to pursue an acting career.
